Private Yoga Class
Join Dena on the mat for your choice of a private restorative, yin or somatic yoga class.

YIN YOGA
Yin Yoga invites you to slow down and explore the connection of your body and mind. Each class is an invitation to explore a meditative state, guiding you into a place of inner stillness and peace. Yin yoga is a gentle ad relaxing class consisting of passive floor poses to stretch, stimulate and create fluidity in the deep connective tissues and joints of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. This class is a sanctuary where time slows down, and you’re encouraged to tune in to the subtle signals of your body, embracing a journey of self-discovery and mindfulness.

RESTORATIVE YOGA
Restorative-Yin Yoga is a slower, meditative yoga class that combines the restful and nurturing nature of restorative yoga with the targeted, passive stretching of yin yoga. Utilizing props, and long-held floor postures, you will stretch, stimulate and create fluidity in the deep connective tissues of your body, calm the mind, and reconnect to the wisdom of your body.
Each pose is supported with blankets, bolsters, blocks, straps or a wall.

GENTLE SOMATIC YOGA
Experience gentle somatic yoga designed for women in midlife to release chronic tension and heal from past emotional wounds using slow, mindful movements and conscious breathing to release chronic muscle tension and re-pattern your body’s movements. Through a series of exploratory movements, you will learn to recognize and release patterns of tension that inhibit your natural movement. As you learn to move with intention and attention, you’ll discover the path to deep relaxation, increased mobility, emotional release, and the restoration of your body’s natural healing rhythm.

FAQ
What if I sign up for a class but can’t make it?
No worries, if you signed up and paid for a yoga class, a link will be sent to your email for you to have access to the recording.
What props do I need?
In some classes yoga blocks, straps, a blanket or bolster are used. However you do not need to go out and buy a bunch of items to do yoga…you can use pillow(s) in place of a bolster, books in place of the blocks and a tie or bungee cord in place of a strap. A yoga mat is nice to have but again it is not needed especially if you are just starting out. If you are curious about the props I use CLICK HERE to see a post I wrote about my favorite yoga props.
How can I get Weekend NOURISH class for FREE?
It’s simple…join the NOURISH membership and recieve free yoga classes (live and recorded), monthly journaling prompts, monthly visualizations, workshops and so much more. Currently the Founding Member price is $11 per month and there is no obligation, cancel whenever you want. CLICK HERE to learn more.
What Should I Wear?
Non restrictive clothing is best but you can truly wear anything that is comfortable and that will stretch with you.
Who are the guest teachers for the Weekend NOURISH class?
Guest teachers will range depending on what the theme is for that particular Saturday class. The theme and guest speaker will be announced towards the beginning of each month.
What if I have bad knees or a bad back?
Modifications for poses are given when appropriate. I tell my students you know your body best…do not be afraid to use props as they are there for you to use however your body needs. I am always amazed at modifications my students have come up with to suit thier body. It is important to honor the body you have and props can help you do that!
